420 COLLEGE - SUPPORT OF LT. GOV NEWSOM TOWARDS MARIJUANA LEGALIZATION IN CALIFORNIA

Lt. Gov. Newsom is the latest elected official to call for marijuana legalization in California

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

22/02/2013

Los Angeles, CA ( connect2business ) February 22, 2013 - Lt. Gov. Newsom is the latest elected official to call for marijuana legalization in California.

While giving an interview to New York Times, Lt. Governor of California, Gavin Newsom said that he is really looking forward to call for legalization of marijuana. He said that the prohibition will prove as a counterproductive effort of the authorities and he affirmatively supported this legalization.

Newsome has joined several other political leaders who showed their support toward marijuana legalization. According to these people, this procession of war of drugs will soon end.

Newsom has been opposing the legalization of marijuana in the state, but with the passage of time and seeing neighboring states of Washington and Colorado passing voter initiates in their state, he has started favoring the legalization process. According to him, prohibition on marijuana should end soon.

Not only he is trying to show his favor regarding the legalization, but he is also asking other politicians to support the process as well.

Newsom's change of heart has been noticed by different other politicians. Tom Angel, who is the chairperson of Marijuana Majority, said that Newsom is an intelligent politician and his change of mind does mean something very meaningful. He said that he was disappointed when Newsom opposed the legalization of marijuana for recreational use when the issue was discussed in the California's Proposition 19.

As Newsom has started showing a storing support towards the issue now, Tom Angel seems to be very happy about it and is looking forward to some appreciable efforts from him in the future regarding the issue.

It took two years for the legalization to take place after majority voting of the people of Colorado and Washington.

With these types of developments, it has given new hope to the citizens of California who want to get into the legal marijuana business in the state. 420 College president and their attorneys believe that legalization will bring much needed tax revenue to the cities and counties of California.

While many of the local governments are filing for bankruptcy and accepting federal drug eradication funds to keep the police force going, they are failing to realize that marijuana tax dollars will bring in more revenue then the federal grants for marijuana eradication. Also, ever since the Appellate Court ruling in the case of People vs Jackson, where the court ruled that all marijuana businesses must be non-profit, 420 College president said that, he has seen an increase of people who are hiring 4200 College to do their corporate nonprofit filling.

420 College is going to be hosting a seminar on starting and operating a legal marijuana business in California on March 2nd of 2013.
