Life Skills Educator

This is a permanent, term-time only role. Flexible shift pattern is available (Monday evening to Friday morning) which may include mornings, school hours and evenings.

Pro rata salary: £23,778- £26,091 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for Life Skill Educators to join our team at Linden Bridge School. As a Life Skills ducator you will be responsible for pupils boarding in the residential department at the school and will play a key role in planning and delivery of Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) target work, assessing, monitoring and documenting progress as well as managing leisure time activities and the personal care of each pupil.

You will work alongside colleagues in the Residential Team to ensure the welfare of the children and young people boarding at the school. Maintaining confidentiality in and outside of the workplace.

Key responsibilities will include drafting and carrying out risk assessments, care plans, pupil behaviour support and safety plans, planning and delivery of EHCP target work, assessing, monitoring and documenting progress with 'next steps’, managing leisure time activities and the personal care of each pupil. Attending and contributing to pupil annual review meetings.

Planning and overseeing activities for the pupils, which could involve travel off-site, with the assistance of a supportive educator.

Working as part of the residential department staff team, directly supervised by the residential manager, and responsible to the Senior Leadership Team.

Ensuring that the welfare of the children and young people boarding at the school is paramount in all the department’s work.
