Job Title: Youth Support Workers in Charge
Location: Opportunities in Stevenage, Welwyn Hatfield, St Albans and Three Rivers districts (please state your preference at application).
Starting Salary: £27,434pa with the opportunity to progress to a maximum of £30,750pa (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: 18.5 hours per week - which includes four 2.5hour evenings during term time with flexible daytime hours and additional hours often available.
Contract: Permanent

Take your youth work experience to the next level and lead a team that’s giving young people the support they need as they transition to adulthood.

Managing a small team of 4-5 Youth Support Workers and Volunteers, you will plan, deliver and evaluate a range of curriculum-based groupwork projects as well as working one-to-one with vulnerable and at-risk young people aged 11 to 17 to help improve their future prospects.

Part of the role will require you to handle safeguarding issues and health and safety, whilst addressing service users’ needs and helping them overcome the specific challenges they face.

We’re looking for people who have experience of youth work (in a paid or voluntary capacity) and are ready for the next step in their career.

Having good IT, record keeping, organisational and planning skills is crucial for this role, along the ability to forge relationships with a range of partner organisations.
