Payroll & Accounts Assistant - part-time

Your new company
This is a newly created position for a group of companies that have sites in both Ingatestone and Brentwood and they are open to someone joining them either full time doing Payroll, Accounts and some HR or 3-4 days per week doing Payroll and Accounts or HR. The company have doubled in size in recent years and are continuing to grow and evolve.
Your new role
This position is to support the finance team with processing all the Payroll on a weekly and monthly basis for around 120 staff start to finish, including verifying hours from zero-hour contract staff and sending out payslips, reporting into the Finance Director. The current person processing the payroll will give a full handover, but you will need to have experience of running payroll solely. The other element of the role is supporting a busy accounts team with accounts administrative duties such as invoicing, reconciliations and if you have HR experience, basic HR and benefit queries, onboarding new starters, sending out new contracts, minute taking for HR related meetings, monitoring sickness, reporting and supporting the heads of departments.
What you\'ll need to succeed
You will need to be someone who has proven Payroll experience and confident running payroll fairly autonomously, but also have basic accounts or HR admin experience. This role is office based, so you will need to work between the two sites in Ingatestone and Brentwood, with occasional travel to other sites, but this will be on a very occasional/minimal basis. The role can work on any version of part-time to suit.
