An exciting opportunity awaits an experienced Energy Analyst with a background in data, offering a dynamic role within a well-established company. In this position, the primary focus is on supporting the company's clients by identifying opportunities for process improvements to reduce energy consumption, providing insights, developments, and recommendations.

As an Energy Analyst, responsibilities include the analysis of energy consumption data, maintenance history, and equipment telemetry. Additionally, measuring and monitoring key environmental and sustainability data to assess trends facilitates the identification of opportunities for energy reduction, and formal reports presenting the findings are produced for clients.

The company, a prominent entity in the facilities management sector with a national footprint, is expanding organically, creating an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Energy Analyst.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience in energy analysis, demonstrating proficiency in data tools such as Microsoft Power BI/Python or certification as an ESOS Lead Assessor/Low Carbon Consultant. Strong MS Excel skills, including the use of macros and pivot tables, are essential. Moreover, the ability to articulate complex technical concepts both verbally and in written communication to non-technical audiences is crucial.

This role provides a unique opportunity for someone passionate about data analysis in the energy sector, looking to deliver outstanding services to clients and contribute to energy efficiency. While the position involves working on various client sites, it is primarily home-based.

The individual:

  • Skilled in using Microsoft Power BI and Python, or certified as an ESOS Lead Assessor and Low Carbon Consultant.
  • Background in Energy Analyst or Data roles, focusing on assisting Energy firms in reducing their energy usage.
  • Flexible working ability, as the position involves travel to client locations.
  • Familiarity with BMS systems, renewable technologies, utilities, and the power generation and distribution market are desired.

The position:

  • Stay informed about changes in legislation, industry consultations, and trends, advising the business on possible effects or opportunities while keeping processes and documents updated.
  • Conduct data analysis related to energy use, maintenance records, and equipment telemetry.
  • Track and assess crucial environmental and sustainability metrics to spot trends, identify areas for improvement, reduce energy usage, and formulate savings strategies.
  • Clearly explain and present complex technical ideas to audiences without technical expertise.
