In the position of a Systems Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to engineer real-time, safety-critical powertrain systems, tailored for both passenger and commercial vehicles. This involves crafting control algorithms and strategies utilizing Matlab Simulink/Stateflow, as well as auto-generating code for production-ready software.

We are seeking a candidate with over three years of experience in the development of real-time embedded systems, alongside a solid grasp of MATLAB Simulink and Stateflow. Proficiency in using CCP calibration tools such as INCA, ATI Vision, and CANape is also desirable.

The Role:

  • Crafting control algorithms & strategies (utilizing Matlab Simulink/Stateflow) and generating code for production-ready software
  • Formulating system diagnostics and specifying CAN communication protocols
  • Creating validation tests for electrical test benches, HiL, and vehicles
  • Designing functional safety strategies compliant with the EGAS standard


The Person:

  • Possessing over 3 years of experience in the development of real-time embedded systems
  • Demonstrating proficiency in MATLAB Simulink and Stateflow
  • Able to commute to Gillingham
  • Previous involvement in the automotive industry is advantageous
