Laboratory QC Analyst

Part-time -22 to 30 hours p/w available - flexibility to what hours for the right person

Cooper Lomaz are currently recruiting for a Lab QC Analyst on a part time basis ideally for 28-30 hours a week over 4 days however will consider 22 hours + over 3-4 days for the right person. This is a new position to assist a growing Lab based team base in Ware, manufacturing a range of specialist samples. This new role is to ensure quality standards are maintained within manufactured batches and to monitor compliance.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a scientific / chemistry / lab-based environment with some exposure of compliance and internal quality standards. Day to day this new position will be ensuring internal Quality standards are retained and be involved in quality testing methods, whilst monitoring, measuring and reporting on the quality KPI’s.

Day to day responsibilities:

• To ensure customer documents are generated.
• To maintain quality standards are retained.
• To be proactive in quality testing methods
• Monitor, measure and report on quality KPIs.
• Generate and implement procedures.
• Moving into a principal point of contact for quality
• Quality decision making
• Compliance investigation and root cause
• Deal with the day-to-day administration requests.
• Implement any legislation changes.

Key skills and experience:

• Scientific/chemistry background
• Working knowledge of GC/QC testing
• Excellent communications skills emphasised by being tactful and convincing.
• Accurate and well organised individual
• Experience of driving improvement
• An individual with a flexible approach
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Ability to react positively to tight deadlines.
• Good accurate computer skills.
• Laboratory test methods /Microsoft office /Formpak /ERP familiarization (Preferred not essential)
