Are you an experienced science teacher, with an extensive career teaching secondary level, are you looking for a brand new role within a fantastic team!

The school is an all-through (age 4 to 16) co-educational school offering a fresh approach and choice that allows pupils to discover learning, unlock their potential, find their place in their community and play their part in society. It offers a genuine alternative education and allows greater choice to the local communities of Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole.

The headteacher is looking for a teacher who can offer a positive, safe learning environment for its community, in which everyone has equal and individual recognition and respect. They celebrate success and are committed to the continuous improvement and fulfilment of potential in every student regardless of their ability. Having strong behaviour management skills is essential in addition to having a respectful, understanding approach to teaching.

You will be planning science lessons around Key Stage 3 and 4 curriculum, and must be able to confidently lead lessons ensuring they are interactive and suitable for student's individual learning needs. Ideally you will have a physics and chemistry specialism, but we will be open to hear from you if you are incredibly experienced leading general science to secondary level. It is also paramount that you have Qualified Teacher Status and at least 3 years of experience teaching students with SEND.

The school nurtures, inspires and enables all of the students, giving them the skills and knowledge to flourish. They are committed to the development of the whole child ensuring that our students become life-long learners and achieve the best outcomes that they can.

We are welcoming full time or part time applicants to work Monday to Friday, term time only, this will be a permanent placement, with the opportunity to attend trial days prior to your start date.
