Purchasing Administrator

Position: Purchasing Assistant (Part Time 25 Hours per week, 5 hours daily)

Location - Crawley

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working as a contact for sales team to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Assist the sales team with special and bespoke customer orders
  • Checking order confirmations for accuracy and updating the system with correct pricing and delivery dates
  • Developing relationships with suppliers to obtain exceptional service levels
  • Working with freight companies to achieve timely and cost effective deliveries
  • Submit, track and recover freight claims on loss and damages
  • Maintaining delivery date integrity on the system and expediting overdue Purchase Orders
  • Process, track and recover vendor claims as part of the aftersales service
  • New product set up and ongoing maintenance of product data on the system
  • Assist with maintaining records on customs imports
  • Understand and contribute to company KPIs as detailed on the bonus plan
  • Covering and assisting other members of the purchasing team as required
  • General purchasing admin and tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Strong administrative and numerical skills.
  • Previous experience in a Freight and/or Logistics administrative role preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks efficiently.
