Exciting Opportunity: Statutory Accountant

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our client's finance team as a Statutory Accounts Specialist. This pivotal role reports to the Head of Statutory Accounts and plays a critical part in preparing subsidiary accounts, supporting the Group Annual Report, and Financial Statements production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of subsidiary accounts and assist in the Group's annual reporting.
  • Maintain accounts production systems and monitor subsidiary companies' audit processes.
  • Engage in audit planning, timetabling, and stakeholder discussions under the guidance of the Head of Statutory Accounts.
  • Resolve audit queries, ensuring statutory accounts and ledgers are reconciled accurately.
  • Quarterly reconciliation of key balance sheet areas and involvement in financial statement preparations for various entities.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent education.
  • Proficiency in IFRS and UK GAAP; intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA certification with experience in statutory accounts production and audit management.

  • Exceptional communication, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and capable of working under pressure.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and integrity in handling complex issues.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
