A specialist further education college offering both day and 38-52 week residential placements. They provide holistic education for students aged 16-25 years, who have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder and associated mental health conditions.

They provide robust therapeutic support alongside our student's academic/ vocational programmes to enable them to gain the life skills, qualifications and employability qualities to ensure the greatest opportunity of successful outcomes (regardless of their starting point) and the chance to truly thrive.

The headteacher is looking for a teacher who can offer a positive, safe learning environment for its community, in which everyone has equal and individual recognition and respect. They celebrate success and are committed to the continuous improvement and fulfilment of potential in every student regardless of their ability. Having strong behaviour management skills is essential in addition to having a respectful, understanding approach to teaching.

You will be planning and deliveringhumanities to post 16 students with specific learning needs, including autism and ADHD. You must be able to confidently lead lessons ensuring they are interactive and suitable for student's individual learning needs. Ideally you will have a background teaching either Geography, History, RE or politics and have a great deal of enthusiasm educating others.

This will be a part time role, working Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, between the hours of 9:25am- 2:30pm.
