We are looking for a talented editor/ lead writer with a passion for and knowledge of economics who can develop a new digital publication for an established media group. Published every six weeks, the publication will focus on interest rate setting, an under-studied subject, to inform and engage readers and "make interest interesting"!

Key Duties

  • Produce specialist written content for publication
  • Work with Data and Design teams to incorporate appropriate charts and graphics to complement and enhance the written copy
  • Monitor and maintain a keen interest in economics news and events
  • Propose stories and ideas for inclusion in the publication
  • Attend regular editorial meetings at Norwich offices

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Previous experience working as a writer or journalist in financial services
  • Ability to work with data
  • Keen interest in economics current affairs
  • Ability to analyse historical data and identify trends
  • In depth knowledge and understanding of the role of the Bank of England in UK monetary policy.

The role could operate on a remote/hybrid working basis and can also be full-time or part-time, but attendance at editorial meetings in Norwich is an essential part of the role.

Salary is up to £30k/annum (pro-rata if part-time) dependent on experience.
