Financial Planning Assistant

The Role:I am recruiting an experienced Financial Planning Assistant on behalf of boosst Ltd, an award-winning Accredited Financial Planning firm. The Financial Planning Assistant (internally referred to as the Client Relations Associate) is a highly involved administrative role, supporting the Financial Planners in the delivery of clients’ financial plans.

The Person: The successful Financial Planning Assistant will have exceptional administrative skills and a keen eye for detail and will be a strong relationship builder with a passion for delivering an exceptional service. They will have worked in a Financial Planning or Financial Advice environment where they will have gained experience of cashflow modelling tools. The successful Financial Planning Assistant will be embracing of technology and process improvements and there will be the opportunity for this role to progress, from an administrative support role, to technical cashflow specialist, with mentoring and line management responsibilities (with increased renumeration as the role develops).

Financial Planning Assistant, responsibilities include:

  • Provide the administrative assistance involved in the delivery of financial planning services to clients.
  • Ensure the service is delivered on time and to an exceptionally high standard, focusing on improving efficiencies and client outcomes.
  • Analyse client data and work within a team to prepare client financial plans.
  • Contact clients ahead of meetings, attend client meetings as appropriate and follow through action points arising.
  • Accurately update cashflow modelling tool (Truth).
  • Follow process to ensure clients receive a top-quality onboarding experience.
  • Liaise with product providers and other third parties as necessary.
  • Support the Financial Planners with presentations and preparation for client meetings.
  • Ensure all business is conducted in a responsible and compliant manner, meeting all legislative requirements.
  • Keep internal briefing notes up to date.
  • Develop an understanding of financial products to enable you to identify opportunities that will benefit clients.
  • General administration as required to support the business.

Financial Planning Assistant, skills and experience required:

  • A minimum of 18 months’ experience gained in a financial planning or financial advice environment.
  • Embracing of technology with experience of using Cashflow tools.
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail, excellent spelling, grammar and accuracy.
  • A self-motivated team player who takes pride in providing a service of the highest standard, with a desire to drive process improvements and progress within the business.
  • Professional appearance, confident manner and excellent communication skills.
