Global Mobility / Expat Tax / Tax Associate / Tax Senior - Newcastle

A large accountancy firm who specialise in offering tax services across the globe are looking to add more specialist resource to their team in Newcastle.

Providing global mobility tax advice to a portfolio of clients you will be responsible for working with individuals and businesses, many whom are multi-nationals, supporting them with a first class service.

Managing a number of client accounts you will support the delivery of projects, ensuring technical excellence and applying a practical and commercial approach. You will have an oversight on the compliance, but will not be responsible for the completion of returns. Your role will focus more upon the provision of advice by nature of tax briefings, assignee calls and email correspondence. You will be the assignees first point of contact but also on hand to the project lead within the business for any queries they may have. Advice will centre around the individuals tax affairs based upon their location and travel. You may also find yourself liaising with HMRC and chasing refunds.

This role requires the successful individual to have a good understanding of the tax compliance process and possess first class communication skills. With a desire to want to develop your advisory knowledge this opportunity will provide you with all technical aspects of global mobility knowledge you require to deliver on the job.

With regular client contact you must enjoy speaking with clients and feel comfortable providing advice. You will preferably be ATT qualified with a desire to want to continue with your CTA exams, these will of course all be fully funded by your employer.

The position offers complete flexibility to work from home or the office, the choice is yours, although you will most likely learn more with some presence in the Newcastle office each week. You can also select your working hours each day, with start and finish time to suit.

Progression is readily encouraged and those keen to learn and develop will enjoy the structure in place which recognises an individuals hard work. To be considered you must have a minimum of two years personal tax compliance or related experience.
