Payroller Part-Time

Howarth Morris are partnering with a leading manufacturing group who are embarking on an exciting period of growth. They are now looking for an experienced standalone part-time Payroller who can shape and drive the payroll function. My client requires a candidate looking for between 22.5 and 28 hours/week. There is also flexibility with regards working from home.

The role itself will report to the Financial Controller and the right candidate will need to be accurate, organised and adaptable to a fast paced & fast growing environment.

Responsibilities

* Payroll processing of monthly payroll for salaried employees, ensuring that all employees are paid correctly and on time
* Responsible for maintaining employee time and attendance records
* Completion of P45 for leavers, end of year processing and reconciliation including payment summaries (P60's/P11D's)
* Submission of monthly pension contributions
* Conducting regular checks to ensure any changes are monitored & controlled, and employees are accurately paid and in line with government regulations
* Maintaining up to date and comprehensive guidance notes on payroll procedures
* Working closely with our payroll software provider regarding system upgrades and developments
* Ensuring payroll policies are up to date to reflect changes to Company policy and Employment Law Regulations

Skills and Experience Required
* Up to date knowledge of current regulations affecting employee benefits, deductions and general payroll processes
* A proactive approach with experience of identifying & implementing process improvements
* Excellent time management and organisational skills, able to work under own initiative and to tight deadlines
* Flexibility - to work the necessary hours to meet the cyclical demands of the position
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
