Finance Assistant

Part Time 30h per week

Salary from £26,000 pro rota

We are recruiting for a well established business based in Norwich. They are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team.

As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring accurate and timely postings for accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash.
  • Undertaking daily banking.
  • All aspects of Purchase Ledger, setting up new Suppliers, conducting checks, processing purchase invoices and preparing payments within Sage.
  • Completing supplier statement reconciliations and ensuring timely resolution of any queries.
  • Entering payments onto banking software ready for sign-off.
  • Administering petty cash.
  • Analysing and reviewing utility and service provider contracts to ensure value for money.
  • Undertaking finance related administration, as well as general administrative and ad hoc duties, to meet the needs of the business (including Mailbox management/sending out hard copy documentation/copy statements etc).
  • Assisting with Credit Control
  • Assisting with monthly management accounts, which includes posting journals, preparing reports and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Sense checking and validating any information prepared to ensure accuracy.
  • Preparing and maintaining documentation for standard procedures and processes

About you:

  • AAT Level 3
  • Experience using SAGE 50
