I’m a 13-year-old girl who sustained a brain injury at birth, I have complex needs, cerebral palsy and autism. I am looking for enthusiastic, fun, patient and reliable Support Workers to help me engage in the activities I love and to become more independent. You will need to be calm and patient under pressure and be able to apply a consistent approach.

I attend a special school but only require additional support outside of school hours so that I can take part in social activities and engage in my music therapy, which I enjoy, I’ll also require some assistance with personal care. I like playing with my dolls, swimming, and spending time with animals, I can get a bit nervous when I try something new so will need a bit of extra support on these occasions.

During school holidays your hours are likely to increase to provide extra support at home and to accompany me on day trips.

Essential Information:

To join me as a Support Worker you will need to:

  • Be able to drive and have use of a car.
  • Have experience of working with children.
  • Enjoy working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check.
