Part-time Accounts Assistant – Bordon based – £25,000-£26,000 FTE

We are working on behalf of an industry leading client who is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Part-time Accounts Assistant to join their team. If you thrive in a collaborative environment and have a passion for finance, this role is the one for you!

Overview: As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our Finance Department. Reporting directly to the Financial Accountant, you’ll work 22.5 hours per week to support a busy team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Purchase Order Administration:
    • Assigning numbers to authorized POs.
    • Recording essential details.
  • Invoice Processing:
    • Matching purchase invoices with POs.
    • Coding and obtaining approvals.
    • Inputting data into SAGESO.
  • Expense Management:
    • Efficiently process and input expenses.
  • Financial Reconciliation:
    • Reconcile petty cash and credit cards.
    • Assist with daily bank account reconciliation.
  • Additional Tasks:
    • Analysing timesheets.
    • Providing support for annual audits.

Key Skills Required:

  • Strong IT Skills: Proficiency in Excel and Sage50.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Independence: Capable of working independently.
  • Finance Experience: Previous experience in a finance role.
  • Organized and Methodical: Attention to detail is essential.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability to changing priorities.

Salary:

  • £25,000 - £26,000 FTE (Negotiable based on skills and experience)
