The Role
As a Finance Business Partner, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Supporting and analysing key contracts serving internal and external reporting requirements, whilst overseeing and providing input into and ensuring the provision of accurate, timely and concise financial information relating to specific contracts.

Day to day, you'll be providing support to the Future Maritime Support Programme (FMSP) Lot 3 contract work streams and work with the business to ensure that the Estimate At Completion is maintained up to date, reflecting the costs to be incurred and the expected savings:

• Support the Transformation team in the submission of benefits papers and understanding the assumptions that underpin the results.
• Supporting the Head of Finance in ensuring that the accounting paper is kept up to date.
• Identify and engage with key stakeholders to ensure risks are understood and highlighted where appropriate.
• Review of Financial or Contractual documentation and participation in extensive discussions covering many disciplines and specialist subject matters with respect to solving Financial or Contractual problems.

This role is a full-time position that is contracted 37 hours a week and will be based at our HMNB Clyde site, with hybrid working from home arrangements. The current expectation is to be onsite once a week.

Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Essential Experience of the Finance Business Partner:

• Experienced in complex Finance procedures and processes with an ability to simplify the complex.
• Ability to work autonomously and challenge in order to be able to act innovatively, working within a range of established procedures.
• Demonstratable experience with identifying and engaging with key stakeholders to ensure risks are understood and highlighted where appropriate.
• Ability to process large volumes of information whilst keeping an eye on the detail.
• Experience with long term contracts and / or, within a similar industry is desirable but, not essential.

Qualifications for the Finance Business Partner:

• You must hold a recognised professional qualification (ACCA, ACA, ACMA, CIMA, ICAEW, ICAS) or equivalent / similar.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
