Payroll Assistant

Duties:

  • Support payroll compliance work for clients of the practice.
  • Treat information and data with the utmost confidence.
  • Ensuring payrolls and compliance are completed in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with Input and management of payroll data including employees and contractors.
  • Dealing with SMP, SSP, SPP, coding notices, P45, holidays and pensions.
  • Managing starters and leavers.
  • Calculation of pay rates/overtime/bonuses/holidays.
  • Assisting with CIS schemes and monthly returns.
  • Liaising with and dealing with queries from clients.
  • Producing journals for the finance department.

Experience:

  • Payroll experience is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Experience with IRIS Payroll Professional and Moneysoft Payroll an advantage.
  • Good excel and reporting skills.
  • Problem solver with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Extremely organised.
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation.
  • Understanding of PAYE, Limited Companies and CIS preferred but not essential.
