Responsibilities

• Plan and implement menus that provide a good level of nutrition.
• Provide meals that meet individual dietary requirements.
• Be responsible for the effective operation of the kitchen this includes drawing up staff rotas.
• Making suitable arrangements for times when you are not on duty but the kitchen continues to operate.
• Ensure that all regulations relating to food preparation, cooking and storage are complied with.
• To ensure adequate stock of appropriate provisions, this will involve ordering in good time from approved suppliers, checking deliveries and invoices and monitoring the catering budget.
• To ensure all kitchen equipment is safe to use, maintained and stored in working order.

Requirements

• Proven catering experience within school setting
• Relevant qualification in catering at diploma level 3 or equivalent
• Food safety level 3
• DBS checked
• Available immediatly for work
