Support Worker

Support Worker required for Supported Accommodation 16 years + in Stoke Staffs ST4 2JD

We are currently looking for dedicated, caring Support Worker to join our team in Stoke to work flexible hours

This will start as a part time position but could progress to a full time position if this was a consideration.

Children are typically aged between 16-21 years old and experience anxiety, mental health difficulties , occasional emotional distress and EBD. They are supported by nurturing staff who provide them with the love and security they need to grow, develop and recover from past experiences.

We are looking for caring support workers committed to providing our young people with a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment and being a consistent role model in their lives.

Salary for Residential Support Worker

Support Workers £12 per hour 26 hours per week.Flexible hours.

Successful candidates for Support Worker will:

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and family members in meeting residents needs.

  • Support and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of all aspects in the home including cooking, cleaning and finances.

  • Ensuring that the needs of the young people are being met and reviewing and recording changes to those needs.

  • Have some knowledge of Ofsted rules and regulations

Experience and qualifications required for Residential Support Worker

  • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification is desirable for Support Workers, you will encouraged to complete a diploma after probation if you do not have already.

  • Experience of supporting vulnerable young people within a residential care environment, or similar youth worker experience.

  • You will be compassionate, resilient, committed to being a positive role model and confident in managing challenging behaviours.

  • Flexible and able to work a residential care rota which includes evening, weekends and holiday periods and some sleep ins.

  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.(preferable)
