Our local client in Melton Mowbray working in farm sales is looking for a Part-Time, Accounts Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.The role is predominately remote working, but you must be able to come into the office 1 or 2 days per week.

Your new role

Your new role will be working alongside the Sales Administrator and Executive Assistant.
Responsibilities will cover a range of tasks. Key duties include:

• Minimal Invoicing, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers.
• Chasing Late Payments, pro-active follow up on outstanding invoices, communicating with customers to facilitate prompt payments.
• Reconciliation and Bookkeeping, maintaining accurate records by reconciling bank statements and transactions.
• Creating New Customer Accounts, setup and manage customer accounts, recording relevant details and ensuring accuracy.
• Payroll Admin, basic Payroll duties, monthly payroll processing for a small number of employees.

What you'll need to succeed

Skills and Competencies required:

• Previous Experience as an Accounts Assistant
• Excellent Numeracy and attention to detail
• Strong IT Skills, experience of Xero is preferred.
• Great Communication Skills.
• Very organised, and able to work to strict time deadlines.

Please note this role is a Permanent PART TIME role, up to 30 hours per week (salary circa £25k pro rata). Hybrid/remote working is available, but must be able to come into the office 1 day per week.
