Ranger

Summary Come and join our passionate team as our newest Ranger on a permanent basis. You’re a champion of nature conservation and the great outdoors, and you’ll play a crucial role in keeping the nation’s beloved countryside and coast in good shape, for wildlife and for people. 
The salary for this role will be £23,868 - £24,843 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience. 
This is a part-time role, you'll be working 15 hours per week split over Wednesday & Thursday.
Interviews will be held on the 10th of April. What it's like to work here You'll be joining an encouraging team with a real sense of fun and dedication, reporting to an exceptionally enthusiastic and experienced Area Ranger. The extent of what we achieve in our land management is certainly appreciated by our wildlife. 
There's footage of a family of otters, increased sightings of Barn owls over the estate, the growth of our inland wading birds, and so much more.

You’ll be helping to protect and care for habitats, wildlife, buildings and machinery.

You’ll pass on your knowledge and enthusiasm to encourage others to love this area as much as you do.

You’ll make sure that the conservation work and outdoor experiences on the land in your care are of the highest standard. You’ll build relationships in the local community, proudly representing the Trust and letting people know about the work you and the team are doing.

Who we're looking for We'd love to hear from you if you're:
  • practically experienced in conservation work, to protect and improve habitats, landscapes and access
  • able to use machinery and equipment, with relevant certificates
  • able to work safely, using risk assessments and following guidelines
  • a full UK driving licence 
  • experience leading volunteers
  • happy to talk to all kinds of people about the work you’re doing, and why it matters.
