We are supporting a Multi-Academy Trust in London to recruit a Chief Finance Officer. This is an exciting role for someone already in the sector who is looking for an autonomous, hybrid working role. The position is paying up to £80,000 per annum with very attractive benefits, inclusive of the Local Government Pension Scheme.

This Multi-Academy Trust's values and culture are built up on collaboration and teamwork. They are currently 11 schools with 3000 students within London.

Chief Finance Officer:

• Provide full financial management for the Trust.
• Play a pivotal role producing and assisting with the financial strategy for the organisation.
• Manage a small finance team, inclusive of dotted line responsibility for School Business Managers.
• Lead the internal and external audit.
• Production of the statutory accounts.
• Review and completion of the month end accounts.
• Liaise regularly with Principals and Headteachers of the schools.
• Produce the budgets for each school.
• Ensure the Trust is aligned to the regulations stated with the Academy Trust Handbook.
• Be responsible for all ESFA, HMRC and regulatory returns.

Chief Finance Officer:

• You must hold a full CCAB or CGMA/CIMA qualification.
• At least 5 years experience overseeing a finance function within the Academy Trust sector.
• It is critical you have worked with Primary Schools within a Trust.
• You will have previous experience leading the financial external audit.
• Hold an ability to evidence involvement with financial strategy, budgeting and financial appraisals.
• You must have experience preparing statutory accounts.
• Ideally you will have a good understanding of the Academy Trust Handbook.
• Ideally you will have worked within a centralised MAT model.
• You must be comfortable working independently.
• It is important you have a working set up from home.
• People management experience is critical.
• You must have the willingness to meet with key stakeholders regularly.
• Ability to deputise for the CEO where required.

Chief Finance Officer:

£65,000 - £80,000.
