Payroll Advisor

Payroll Advisor (Part time) Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire
£25- £30kpa plus benefits (FTE)

Our client, a leading business with an excellent reputation are looking to add the capabilities of an experienced Payroll Advisor to the business on a part time basis. This can be on a 3 day or 2 day a week basis.

Key Duties:-
* To ensure that employees are paid accurately and on time.
* To process timesheets, back pay, pension changes and anomalies. Any omissions (missing timesheets / New Starters) to be processed.
* To check SSP and full/half pay entitlements and notifying staff and people team as appropriate, preparing relevant documents/letters for employees.
* To monitor the electronic issuing of pay slips, and to help staff to access these.
* To manage the Statutory Maternity and Paternity payments, in conjunction with the payroll bureau. Ensure declarations are sent out and agree calculations.
* To manage the payroll bureau so that the monthly deadlines for the payment of salaries and all deductions are met.
* To be responsible for P45s, New Starter Checklists and tax code amendments and correct application of NI codes for all members of staff.
* To ensure that deductions are set up and deducted correctly.
* To manage and liaise with the payroll bureau as necessary, audit check reports and generally ensure a high level of service provision.
* To provide employee relations advice and support the Senior People Advisor (People) with employee cases pay and non-pay related.
* Responsible for administration of the pension schemes for new starters/changes/ leavers.
* To be responsible for calculating and checking the pension deductions to all the pension schemes, paying the contributions by the correct date, and all reporting to external pension agencies.
* To carry out the annual audit for pension scheme members.
* To manage any ad-hoc process for HMRC.
* To ensure that all year end reports are submitted to HMRC by the relevant deadlines.
* To provide necessary payroll KPIs on a monthly basis in relation to pensions, pay, maternity, sickness etc.
