Burial Ground Consultant

We’re looking for a Burial & Memorial Consultant to join our team - someone who can make a real difference to our clients at a time when emotions are running high.

We’re offering a permanent part-time role (20hours per week)

As Burial & Memorial Consultant, you’ll be taking an active role in dealing with members of the public, clients, and third-party suppliers to arrange burials and memorials, working with high accuracy and attention to detail to exceed their expectations.  You’ll be comfortable working alone or as part of a team and are able to demonstrate an understanding of the needs of the bereaved in an empathetic and compassionate manner.

That said, this is a truly rewarding role and our team are extremely passionate about providing quality and the best service for the bereaved.

We’re after someone who can demonstrate excellent communication skills in a professional, confident, and courteous way. You’ll be highly organised, possessing excellent administration skills and have a sound working knowledge of MS Office programmes. You’ll need to embed and support our values and provide an exceptional experience all round.

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Responding on behalf of the burial ground, accurately processing all arrangements, and using various systems and tools to ensure its smooth running
  • Liaising with all visitors to site, providing the highest possible standards of service
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed and/or received in compliance with business rules, industry regulation and statutory legislation
  • Ensuring the identification, storage and final disposal of cremated remains with the burial ground are undertaken and documented appropriately
  • Promoting, advising and selling of all forms of memorialisation and value-added products and services
  • Supporting the wider team to ensure the smooth running of every aspect of operations on-site
  • Being proactive in community activities to promote the burial ground and Funeralcare service
