Atkinson Moss are delighted to be representing a local and successful company in their search for a Buying Administrator to join their procurement team.

Reporting into the head of procurement, the successful candidate will play an intrinsic role in providing costings, capturing all cost elements to assist with final selling prices, for potential new clients and offering an excellent level of service internally and externally, to manage and maintain a global client base. The role will involve a lot of figure work so candidates with finance/accounting experience or a natural flair for numbers will be well suited.

Key duties:

- Produce and generate costings at the request of the sales and marketing team

- Monitor and manage monthly spend and volume data

- Supplier and third-party liaison/general account management

- Report generation and supplier monitoring

- Appointment booking for samples in conjunction with the buying team

- Ownership and maintenance of the cost planning excel spreadsheet

- Internal and external communication in-line with the needs of the business

- General administration and paperwork

Person Specification:

- Previous experience working in a commercial environment

- Previous experience working in purchasing

- Previous costing experience (essential)

- Working to a high degree of accuracy

- Positive, proactive and with a 'can-do’ attitude

- Proficient in IT including excel and managing large data sets

- Import/export knowledge would be advantageous

- Excellent communicator and highly organised

The role is offered on a Full (40hrs) or Part-time (30hrs), permanent basis with hybrid working offered (3 days in the office, 2 at home). The company is based north of Norwich in a location inaccessible by public transport, so driving is essential (there is free parking available).
