Plumbing Lecturer

Reed are working with a great education provider who is seeking a Plumbing Lecturer to support full time in a classroom based setting.

  • Job Title: Plumbing Lecturer 
  • Annual Salary: up to £40,267 pa
  • Location: Essex 
  • Hours: 37 hours per week

We are seeking a Plumbing Lecturer who is passionate about delivering inclusive, responsive, and innovative teaching and learning. The successful candidate will join the Construction department and contribute to the achievement of the college’s strategic objectives, ensuring that all learners succeed in their chosen programmes.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Deliver outstanding teaching and learning on a range of Plumbing programmes to apprentices and constantly strive for excellence.
  • Produce Schemes of Work and assessment plans to support learners in achieving their full potential.
  • Embed Equality and Diversity, employability, employer engagement activities, and enterprise into the programmes.
  • Deliver exciting and innovative learning and undertake assessment using a broad range of methods.
  • Contribute to curriculum and staff development activities.
  • Participate in all teaching, learning, and assessment processes and undertake necessary support/training.
  • Be involved with learner recruitment via internal and external marketing and school liaison activities

Required Skills & Qualifications for the Motor Vehicle technician role:

  • Recognised Teaching qualification
  • Maths and English level 2 or equivalent
  • Plumbing qualification at level 2 or above 
  • Experience supporting students or apprentices as a trainer
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Enthusiasm for working with young people
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety
