Are you in Finance looking for a role that’s more than Accounting?

A long established niche manufacturer in the Charnwood District are creating a new role due to growth. Required is a capable Accountant undertake responsibilities for all Operational Finance and Reporting to the US Parent, supported by a team of two administrators. There is certainly room for growth and development, an opportunity to influence business improvement, steer change and partner with the wider team to maximise efficiency

This is a strongly sustainable and stable business, currently £2.5m turn over, highly thought of in its specialist field and a culturally traditional company with long standing employees and brand loyalty from it’s customers. Following a recent takeover, the company is embarking on it’s next step, driven by investment from its US Parent.

The Role

You’ll be responsible and accountable for overseeing the day to day finance operations plus associated functions such as shipping. In addition, supported by 2 x accounts clerks, as the Finance Manager you’ll report to the UK MD and the US CFO developing and providing key insight into the company’s financial performance though detailed management accounts, analysis and statutory reporting ensuring full compliance, inclusive VAT, Taxation, PAYE and the liaison with the company’s auditors

The Candidate

In summary, we are seeking candidates with good exposure either to a similar role or in a position where they are seeking their next step to what is a “number one” role for the group’s UK business. The position would strongly suit a person who is:
2. A budding Management Accountant in a small business ready to progress (newly qualified / part qualified / finalist). Study financing is on offer
3. An established Finance Manager, demonstrating experience in a similar role (Qualified or QBE)

Sector experience should be manufacturing / engineering. Experience with Sage Line 50 is a must along with ERP systems. Experience with an Import / Export business and foreign currency an advantage also as is reporting into a foreign parent such as US, German or French

In addition to salary of up to £40k, there is an annual bonus scheme that averages £3k to £5k per year, 23 days holiday, free parking, NEST Pension. Hybrid working is of consideration where it suits both parties. Working Hours 8.30am to 5pm Mon-Thurs, 8.30am to 3pm on Fridays
