Support Worker

Support Worker
Wimborne, Dorset

A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for a high-calibre person to join our client’s team.

Our client is not seeking a carer. They require a person with motivational qualities to join their team who will provide skills as a positive invigorator; gym coach, life coach and motivational ally, and is a team player.

Following an accident several years ago, our client has made a substantial recovery from their brain injury and is now living independently within their own property in the countryside, near Wimborne, with support during the day. Support is required during waking hours only. Our client does not require personal care, but instead requires someone with high levels of positive energy, enthusiasm, dedication and a good sense of humour.

Our client is a fit and affable 30-something man with a thirst for life and adventure. They are offering an excellent opportunity to an individual to join their team, permanently contracted for 35 hours per week to work in a goal-focused way to achieve their potential.

The team’s focus is based on effective listening, questioning, using feedback, appreciating and continuously supporting our client to take ownership, and be accountable for taking action to realise their goals.

They are seeking a person with a strong desire to have a positive effect on them and a commitment to supporting and promoting their individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals.

Our client is an active person who enjoys sporting and countryside activities.

Personal qualities of resilience, empathy and self-confidence are as important as previous experience. Having similar interests in the outdoors and fitness is important!

In terms of transport, our client has their own vehicle but does not drive, therefore a full driving licence is essential.

The working hours consist of 10 or 11 x 15hr shifts (7:30am - 10:30pm) per month, with a variation of days. However, our client does require support at weekends, and so some weekend work will be required as part of a rota.

Salary of £28,665 per annum (pro rata).

This position requires a fully enhanced disclosure request from the DBS.

Please note, our client reserves the right to interview and appoint earlier than the stated closing date, should there be a good response to the advert.
