Who are we?
The Support Worker - Short Breaks role:
We provide short breaks support for people with a learning disability and complex needs, who live at home and are supported by their family. Our aim is to provide a home from home environment where people can receive specialist support from staff who know them well, whilst ensuring family carers can enjoy well deserved regular breaks from their caring responsibilities.
Supporting people in their daily lives is varied and could include helping someone develop new skills, providing personal and emotional support, helping people plan their day, support with leisure, employment, individual interests and travel. This can be a fun and rewarding but also at times challenging and demanding role.
