Management Accountant / Bookkeeper

A modern and inclusive working environment; our client is looking to recruit for a Fixed Term Maternity Contract either on a Full Time or Part Time basis. The Contract is to cover a Maternity Leave and will start soon and it is envisaged to run until Spring 2025.

The salary and role will be devised around your current skill set and if you wish to work in a full-time capacity or reduced hours. The banding is £30,000 - £38,000 (pro rata where relevant) with a pension, 25 days holiday and some Hybrid can be offered. Car Parking available

You will be joining a well respected accounting firm, based in the Guildford area. Previous experience of working for an accounting practice will be essential. 

You will work with a small number of clients who entirely outsource their finance function and also other owner managed businesses.

The main duties include:

• Bookkeeping processes, including invoice processing, bank reconciliations.
• Produce profit and loss accounts,  cash flows, management accounts, variance analysis and commentaries.
• Calculation and payment of Quarterly VAT Returns.
• Balance Sheet account reconciliations.
• Regular use of Cloud based packages such as Xero and Sage.
• Lots of client interaction so you will enjoy communicating with non-financial personnel.
• Used to dealing with different clients across the portfolio.
