HR Admin Generalist/ Recruiter (20 hrs per week)

Core Working Hours for this role:- 20 hrs per week. (Flexible on number of days this is worked over eg 5 x 4 hrs, 4 x 5 hrs or 3 x 6.5 hrs each week). Hybrid working requiring at least 1 or 2 days in the AMX office in Bristol each week.

Main Duties:

Working closely with the HR & Admin Manager, we are looking for a bright, personable HR Admin Generalist/Recruiter to support our friendly team on a permanent basis. It’s a busy role so would suit someone with a minimum of 2 years’ previous general HR admin experience/ working towards the CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice who can quickly get up to speed advising on AMX policy and benefit queries, resolving employee issues, issuing change letters, keeping our HR system updated, updating policy after legislation changes. Someone with whole recruitment cycle experience and competency testing to help AMX recruit the best matched candidates for vacancies. Escalating more complex issues to the HR Manager and assisting with new HR projects.

All new starters undergo a probationary period with monthly meetings with their Line Manager to help stay on track, resolve any issues and identify training needs to help them achieve standard within 6 months. It’s always varied and interesting with the aim to retain and develop employees within AMX.

The successful candidate MUST have a minimum of 2 years’ HR experience with:

  • Strong HR admin/organisational skills.
  • Experience of whole recruitment cycle including initial interviewing/screening and competency/aptitude testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and enjoys interacting with employees.
  • Ability to balance business needs against individual needs and provide fair and impartial advice.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills.
  • Knowledge/experience working with any HR system (Citrus HR preferably).
  • Good knowledge of UK Employment Law.

Desirable Experience:

  • Office Health & Safety risk assessments.
  • Benefits admin useful.
  • Quickbooks/Payroll experience helpful.
  • GDPR/ICO, HR data classification/retention knowledge advantageous.
  • Previous experience working with ISO (9001 and 27001) would be advantageous.

Qualifications:

  • The candidate must be able to prove their eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A Level English or similar, with good grammar and attention to detail.
  • Working towards/completed CIPD Foundation Certificate in People Practice.
