The Recruitment Group is working with a family-run business within the packaging industry working with food products, cosmetics, household, agricultural, and high-end consumer goods. They are committed to delivering quality solutions every single time.

Purpose of the role:
Our client is looking for a part-time HR Manager to be the HR presence on site being the point of contact for employees who have any HR issues. To conduct monthly appraisals, being proactive in supporting staff's wellbeing, and identifying any training needs. The role would be a stand-alone role so they are looking for someone who is confident in having sole responsibility on-site alongside their external HR consultant.

Main duties and responsibilities of an HR Manager:
. Overseeing recruitment, selection, and the onboarding process.
. Managing a company's appraisal system and conducting appraisal meetings.
. Ensuring that a company's procedures comply with employment regulations.
. Monitoring various aspects of an employee's performance, such as attendance and sick leave.
. Accessing the need for training and then designing and implementing training programs accordingly.
. Handling any disciplinary processes and formal grievances.
. Ensuring that all company processes are compliant with employment regulations and that all personnel act in line with company policies.
. Implementing new processes that comply with up-to-date employment laws.

Experience/knowledge requirements for an HR Manager:
. Previous experience in a similar HR role where you have needed to implement new processes and take responsibility.
. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to listen and effectively verbalise ideas.
. A solid understanding of the key principles of employment law.
. The ability to remain calm in stressful situations including during disciplinary hearings or staff conflicts.
. CIPD Qualification - beneficial
. Confident to deal with staff at all levels throughout the business.
. Ability to work off own initiative and manage own time and work.
