Media Support Worker

Contract: Permanent, Part-time

Salary: £23,324.37 per annum pro rata

Reed Health & Care Glasgow are recruiting for a Media Support Worker to join our team in Inverness.

This part-time role of 20 hours per week working Monday-Wednesday is perfect for someone who is detail-driven, articulate, and confident, with a passion for providing support.

Whether you’re a recent Media Graduate or an experienced professional, your ability to enable staff with disabilities to perform effectively is what we’re seeking. Experience in supporting individuals with reduced sight is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided.

What this role involves:

•Provide one-to-one support to a service user who is partially blind and contributors, including guiding, reading, research support, note taking and travel assistance

•Operate and support the use of radio equipment and software packages

•Take notes in meetings and assist with administrative tasks such as record-keeping and completing claim forms

• Manage referrals for support requests, liaise with suppliers, and ensure Service Level Agreements are met

• Provide remote facilitation and support the wider team with administrative tasks as needed

What we are looking for:

•Highly organised with the ability to manage a varied workload and meet tight deadlines

•Must have a valid drivers license and access to own car

•Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications and learning new computer systems

•Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with diverse individuals

•A team player with the ability to work independently

Understanding of commercial and financial aspects, including government funding mechanisms

•Experience in delivering one-to-one support, including sighted guiding (preferred)
