Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm but flexible on start and finish times

Our client is a leading retail brand, wo we are working with to recruit an experienced Head of Finance. Are you a people person, with strong finance experience, and a relevant qualification looking to work for a well established business. This is a fabulous opportunity to join a well regarded business, at an exciting time. You will over see a small finance team in a beautiful working environment. 

You will be responsible for;

• Reporting directly to the business owners making them aware of all financial issues.
• Managing the Finance team providing them with the appropriate support and development as and when required.
• Involvement in all aspects of the business from day-to-day financial control to cash flow management, forecasting and implementation of the strategic plan.
• Responsible for the producing monthly management accounts and presenting to the Board.
• Providing commercial analysis and insights to enable decisions to be made correctly and efficiently.
• Working with the senior management team eg Marketing, Sales, Buying, Merchandising and Ecommerce, to ensure consistent alignment on business strategy and financial objectives from the beginning of every project.
• Oversight and coordination of annual budgets.
• Implement robust inventory control reporting and accountability procedures.
• Liaison with a range of external parties (Advisors, Auditors, Tax etc).
• Continuous reviews to ensure all financial systems, policies and processes are robust and compliant with financial regulations.

Skills & experience:

• Qualified in CIMA, ACCA, ACA preferable. QBE is a possibility 
• Retail, or Ecommerce experience preferential but not essential 
• Business partnering experience essential. We are recruiting someone to work with non finance SMT members 
• Great communication skills
• Experience of working in an SME business
