Stakeholder Engagement Manager - £50,000 - Worthing (Hybrid)

Part-time 3 days a week - 22.5 hours.


Our utilities client is currently seeking a Stakeholder Engagement Manager on a contracts basis in their offices in Worthing, you will be required to go into the office 1 day a week. As a Stakeholder Engagement Manager, you will play an integral role in managing internal and external relationships with a variety of important individuals and organisations.

Responsibilities:

  • This includes MPs, Local Authorities, environmental groups, NGOs and peers from our various regulators. You will also collaborate with colleagues across the company to develop and deliver a strategic programme of engagement across our region.
  • You will manage proactive and reactive engagement with key stakeholders and senior colleagues (including Directors and CEO) internally within county boundaries and at a regional/national level where required.
  • Our Stakeholder Engagement Managers play a critical role in the clients transformational journey and turnaround plan and are integral to the clients reaching their improved environmental and customer service performance.
  • Working closely with the CEO and Executive Leadership Teams, you will help to develop mutually beneficial relationships with a range of influential stakeholders and become the hub of stakeholder expertise.
  • You will have a great part to play in facilitating conversations at county/regional or national level to ensure stakeholder voices are heard as we deliver interesting and innovative initiatives, projects and environmental improvements.
  • You will promote best practice, showcasing our success stories, and improving stakeholder engagement capability across the company, and be a beacon for openness and transparency - demonstrating company transformation.
  • You will collaborate with colleagues across the company to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with key stakeholders.

About you:

  • You will have a strong background in communications and engagement, coupled with extensive stakeholder experience gained in either the public or private sector, and can demonstrate how you have supported the delivery of business priorities, proactively managed reputational issues, delivered stakeholder engagement plans and used insight to help shape those plans.
  • In your intermediatory role between the company and its key stakeholders, you will be politically astute, bringing external insight into our decision-making processes and driving improvements that will enhance the company's reputation externally and managing risk.
  • You will utilise your excellent influencing and relationship building skills combined with your previous stakeholder management experience to play an active role responding to operational incidents.
