A rapidly expanding and successful group that encompasses all aspects of the meat trade is recruiting Van Loaders to join our operation at our site in Blakelands, Milton Keynes working 5 from 6 days from Monday to Saturday, working03.00to05.00.

Our business, which is a catering butcher, has over 100 years of experience in the meat and farming industries. All products are prepared in the factory daily to each customer's specifications, packaged and labelled to and above legislation, and delivered directly throughout the UK.

The purpose of this Van Loader role is to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the daily despatch of vehicles. The main responsibilities are:

• to organise and oversee the sorting of all orders from pallets to designated vehicles
• to accurately load all vehicles
• to accurately record loading information
• to work efficiently and within the required targets
• to report to the Transport Operations Manager

There is a considerable amount of manual handling and lifting required working in a refrigerated warehouse.

Communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines are key for this Van Loader role.

You will also need to have:

• Good numeracy and literacy skills
• A good level of physical fitness
• The ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Good timekeeping

No formal qualifications are required for this Van Loader role, as full training will be provided.

A fork-lift truck licence would be advantageous, however, not essential. If identified as an essential requirement, the training will be offered.

Our business supplies customers including hotels, restaurants, public houses, the Education Sector, outdoor events, and food manufacturers. We also provide national distribution via our own fleet and transport partners.
