School Caretaker

• Location: Cramlington
• Job Type: Part-Time 15 hours per week.
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM (Term time, plus an additional 10 days)

We are currently supporting a vibrant school community in their search for a dedicated and vigilant School Caretaker. This part-time role is integral to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for students and staff in Cramlington.

• Conduct regular security checks to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Oversee the opening of school facilities each morning (Key holder)
• Perform basic maintenance tasks and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with the setup of classrooms and event spaces to facilitate educational activities.
• Maintain outdoor areas, ensuring they are tidy and safe for children.
• Monitoring utilities usage.
• Stock management: ordering and safe storage.

• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently.
• Preferred experience in maintenance or a similar role.
• Strong communication skills and a reliable nature.
• Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (assistance provided if necessary).
