Kerry Collins is recruiting for Tutors for our well-established client based in the Walsall area.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Have teaching experience, preferably in a school / TA.
• Have strong knowledge and familiarity of the 11+ subjects.
• Be highly attentive and pay attention to details.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to interpret and manage the behaviour of children and judge when something may be wrong or when they require extra help.

Job description/Responsibilities:

• Prepare small groups of Year 3, 4 and 5 students for the 11+ exam.
• Deliver the pre-prepared course provided by the client.
• Provide written/verbal feedback to parents after each session.
• Can advise parents and students on the best way to manage the challenges they face on their 11+ journey.
• Assessing, managing, recording, and then reporting on the behaviour and performance of students during weekly meetings.
• Keep records on performance, behaviour, attendance, accidents, incidents, and other noteworthy events.
• Attending and taking part in staff meetings to support the smooth running and administration of the centre.
• To encourage, motivate and nurture students to have confidence in their own abilities.
• Be responsible for the safety and wellbeing of all students from the moment they enter the premises right up until they are handed back into the care of their parents at home time.
• Ensuring the highest standards of quality when teaching.
• Show initiative to introduce new ideas which will boost overall student performance.
• Re-organising the classroom/tables/chairs at the end of each lesson. Make the room presentable for the next class.
