Clinical Psychologist

We have a great opportunity for a Qualified Clinical Psychologist role, working 4 days a week (32 hours/week) during term time!

The Client

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Clinical Psychologist as part of a therapy in their school. The school is an innovative provider of education and care for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities, that delivers flexible day placements for students aged 5 to 19 with a range of special educational and mental health needs.

The Role

You will be expected to provide a high-quality service, ensuring the provisions line up with best practice guidelines and internal policies.

Deliver a systematic psychology service, working with others to promote the wellbeing and interests of young people.

The client’s multifaceted and therapeutic approach will assist you in addressing the whole person, taking into consideration clinical biological, physiological, and psychological aspects.

You will work collaboratively with school staff to deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for our young people.

Responsibilities

Undertake clinical psychology duties whilst adhering to professional and regulatory guidelines.

  • Carry out assessments
  • design individualised plans and strategies
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Report writing and multi-professional reviews to provide advice and information
  • Staff training
  • Working with stakeholders such as parents, commissioners, and other agencies

Essential Requirements

PhD in Clinical Psychology or Psychotherapy equivalent

HCPC Registration and British Psychological Association

Experience with young people with ASD and SEMH needs
