Earls Colne, Part Time, June start, Office Based

Due to retirement, an opportunity has arisen to join the finance function of one of the UK’s leading specialist transport service providers based at their new Head Office in Earls Colne.

Description

The role will be part time (full time applications will be considered) and based at our depot in Earls Colne. Responsibilities consist of managing a sales ledger with over £2m of invoices raised monthly, all aspects of credit control, including account applications, assessing creditworthiness, setting and reviewing credit limits, chasing payments, maintaining the customer "StopList", investigating and resolving invoice queries, raising credit notes, weekly invoicing and ledger reconciliations and as well as upload of the weekly schedule onto the invoice finance facility.

Profile

• Proven experience in credit control.
• Knowledge and experience of the transport sector would be advantageous.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and in particular, strong Excel skills.
• Experience of Sage 200 (or similar) and invoice finance facilities.
• Knowledge and experience of credit rating software such as Experian or Credit Safe.
• Strong analytical skills to assess credit worthiness and to manage outstanding debts.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments to resolve invoice and payment issues.
• Confidence and strength of character to make informed credit decisions and communicate these effectively.
• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage sensitive customer relationships.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Availability for an office-based role at Earl Colne.
