Accountant

We are currently seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team in Redhill. This role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum, with the flexibility of full-time or part-time hours. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing accounts, payroll, and invoicing, as well as experience with creating Purchase Orders (POs) and budgeting. Proficiency in CIS and Xero is essential for this office-based position.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage all accounting transactions and ensure timely financial reporting.
• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Administer payroll accurately and efficiently.
• Prepare and issue invoices, and create Purchase Orders (POs).
• Conduct budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Provide support during financial audits.
• Work with Xero accounting software to process transactions and produce reports.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper accounting for all transactions.
• Advise on financial and tax matters and assist with strategic planning.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an Accountant.
• Experience with the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience with creating financial statements, managing accounts, payroll, invoicing, and budgeting.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Sharp time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
