Director of AI - Bournemouth - Part time hours 3 days a week - Hybrid role

We are excited to be working on a new role for a client based in the Bournemouth area, who is looking for a Director of AI to springboard them to the next level and ensure they are ready for the next steps to enable further growth.
As part of the Executive team, you will be the Lead for AI and Systems for internal staff and their users and will play a pivotal role in steering the company towards technological excellence and innovation. This role is for a visionary leader to shape and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns seamlessly with company objectives.
This role requires a highly effective communicator and leader to deliver engagement and confidence to the staff stakeholders.

The Director of AI duties include:

  • Spearhead the development and implementation of cutting-edge technological solutions aimed at driving growth, embedding into all facets of the organisation, and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Develop and execute a forward-thinking technology strategy that harmonises with the broader goals.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives by leveraging technology to streamline processes, elevate customer experiences, and uncover new opportunities for growth.
  • Advise and collaborate with the Executive team to achieve maximum impact of all tech investment and embed technology at the centre of advancement for the strategy.
  • Provide innovative technology solutions that address identified needs, fostering a collegiate and solution-oriented environment.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and skill development.
  • Oversee the successful implementation and management of technology solutions, ensuring they align with charity objectives and deliver tangible value.
  • Proactively identify and address risks and vulnerabilities to safeguard the companies' digital assets and maintain data integrity.


Qualifications and skills

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within IT and technology management.
  • In-depth knowledge of emerging technologies, AI, and IT trends.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to align technology initiatives with organisational objectives.
  • Thorough understanding of cybersecurity and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated success in driving digital transformation and delivering innovative technology solutions.
