About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated ESOL Young Learner Tutor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality ESOL education to young learners aged 16-18. The primary focus will be on providing innovative teaching methods and comprehensive support to ensure each learner achieves their maximum potential.

Main Requirements and Responsibilities:

• Be familiar with a participatory approach to ESOL teaching as well as having a trauma-informed approach in the classroom.

• Prepare and deliver engaging lessons as directed by the Departmental leadership team.

• Create lesson plans and teaching materials in alignment with College guidelines.

• Serve as a Personal Tutor, providing robust support and implementing the College’s tutorial programme.

• Monitor attendance, follow up on absences, and manage withdrawals, transfers, and destinations.

• Act as an internal assessor and verifier when necessary.

• Foster a stimulating learning environment using all available resources.

• Gather and act on learner feedback through questionnaires, discussions, and course reviews for continuous improvement.

• Organize external activities and visits to diversify learning experiences, including establishing and monitoring work placements.

• Support and discipline learners in accordance with College procedures.

• Integrate Information Technology to enhance learners' education.

• Ensure the integration of English and Maths in all teaching activities.
