The Role

Are you passionate about making a positive impact through delivery of high-quality Human Resources policies and projects? We are looking for a dedicated HR Project Officer to be at the heart of our efforts to build a thriving, inclusive, and supportive workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Co-ordinate and deliver HROD Projects:

  • You'll manage and implement HR and Organisational Development policies and projects of all sizes and complexities. This will also include undertaking reward specific projects.
  • Your work will directly support our workforce strategy (People Plan), strong people practices, and the broader objectives of the Southwark 2030 strategy.
  • Your efforts will help ensure we meet service needs effectively and in a timely way

Engage with key stakeholders:

  • Develop and lead consultation with senior managers, staff groups, staff networks, and the recognised Trade Unions.
  • Your role will be crucial in addressing a wide range of people matters and fostering a culture of collaboration and understanding.

Provide professional HR advice:

  • Offer leaders at all levels timely, appropriate, and professional HR guidance on employee, reward and workforce issues

You’ll contribute to the continuous improvement of our HR wider offer, ensuring that we always strive for excellence.

How will you make an impact as our HR Project Officer?

  • Practical experience in providing HR advisory services or project delivery ideally gained from working in a Local Authority or Public Sector
  • CIPD Level 3 or 5 or a willingness to work towards certification is preferable.
  • A good grasp of operational delivery of high-quality HR services, processes, systems, technology and outcomes
  • The ability to use initiative to respond to inquiries from managers and employees, interpreting HR policies, regulations and data to provide clear, concise guidance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining high standards, with attention to detail while meeting deadlines
  • Able to adopt a pro-active, solutions-orientated approach to work
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with managers and employees
  • This role offers flexible home working blended with travel into our London Bridge HQ

Salary range £44,430- £51,663 per annum.

Full Time, 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The post holder may be required to work outside of normal working hours in accordance with service needs.
