Salary: £32,455 to £45,260 per annum (pro rata for part-time posts)
Job Type: Full-time and Part-time positions available (part time includes one evening per week till 9pm, usually Thursdays)
We are excited to announce the opportunity for a full-time Lecturer and two part-time Lecturers to join our client's School of English, ESOL, and Maths at HC. This role involves delivering GCSE and Functional Skills English primarily to vocational learners aged 16-18. It's a chance to significantly impact our students' educational journeys, helping them progress to higher education or into the workplace.
Day-to-day of the role:
Deliver engaging and effective lessons in GCSE and Functional Skills English to a diverse group of vocational learners.
Utilise a variety of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles and needs.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance curriculum delivery and student learning experiences.
Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching practices.
Commit to teaching one evening per week (Thursdays) until 9.00pm.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
A degree or equivalent in English or a related subject area is preferable. Candidates with a Level 3 qualification and at least 2 years of proven successful teaching experience in English/Literacy/ESOL/EFL are also encouraged to apply.
Experience in teaching/tutoring GCSE, Functional Skills English, ESOL, EFL, or literacy.
Ability to engage and motivate students aged 16-18 from various vocational backgrounds.
Possession of a Level 5 teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, or willingness to undertake teacher training supported by the College.
