Luxury Travel Consultant

If you have a passion for travel then this could be the role for you. Our company is an independent, family owned and operated travel business operating is SE England. Since 1993 we have grown to four retail branches and in addition we own holiday companies including Castaways Holidays and Moxley & Co offering programmes of luxury tailor-made holidays.

We are seeking to appoint a luxury travel consultant to join our team in Frimley.

You should be well travelled and have excellent sales ability. You will be able to use your own travel experience to assist clients and create for them unique, tailor-made travel and holiday experiences. You should be equally comfortable assisting clients face to face, on the telephone and by email. You will be expected to provide personalised customer service of the highest level at all times.

You will be able to prove/ demonstrate:

  • Strong luxury sales experience and ability to meet targets
  • A passion for travel and extensive travel knowledge of destinations visited.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • A sound commercial approach to all decision making.

  • Patience and attention to detail

  • A commitment to your own professional development

  • Ability to positively represent Company Best Practice at all times

  • An adaptable and flexible approach to your work ethic

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point, email and Internet

  • Experience of working with minimal supervision

  • A full current UK driving licence


Job responsibilities

The role encompasses the following activities:

  • Meeting and greeting clients visiting our offices in person, telephoning and emailing.

  • Discussing client's needs and preferences with them to agree a holiday brief.

  • Using the holiday brief to identify or create a holiday to meet the client's identified needs and preferences.

  • Producing a holiday proposal for clients that presents the holiday in an attractive way.

  • Following up proposals made and closing the sale.

  • Undertaking promotional activities to win new clients including client events, telephone selling and promotional events.

  • Being responsible for building relationships with clients assigned to you.

  • Administering bookings made by clients assigned to you.

  • Collecting feedback from clients after they return from their holidays.

Working hours

Opening hours are 9.00 to 17.30 Mondays to Fridays and 9.00 to 13.00 on Saturdays. Full and part time staff are expected to work full days including alternate Saturdays.

Key Attributes - Advantageous

  • Previous sales experience within the travel industry

  • Experience of working in a luxury goods industry role

Salary plus annual results based bonus paid after qualifying period

Personal Development

Our team are all destination specialists. You will be expected to develop your destination knowledge and undertake overseas visits for up to four weeks every year as well as study towards appropriate training qualifications.
