HR Manager Part Time

My client is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their successful SME. This part-time role reports directly to the Managing Director and is pivotal in delivering people management strategies that support the organisation's strategic aims. The HR Manager will have a blend of strategic and operational responsibilities, providing expert advice and support on all HR matters. This office-based role requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage HR activities across multiple locations including the UK and Belgium.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Work closely with senior management to prepare and implement HR strategies that align with the organisation's goals.
  • Provide support on HR policies and procedures to managers and team leaders.
  • Communicate with staff across all levels, offering guidance and assistance on HR-related matters.
  • Stay updated with employment legislation in the UK and Belgium.
  • Oversee the entire recruitment process including creating job descriptions, drafting contracts, and managing inductions.
  • Handle investigations and complex employee relations issues such as redundancy and grievances, ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and systems.
  • Monitor and enhance performance appraisal systems.
  • Maintain accurate employee records including maternity, paternity, absence, and sickness, and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Manage HR personnel contracts and files ensuring they are up-to-date.
  • Identify training needs and ensure all training is current.
  • Evaluate market data to ensure the organisation's competitiveness in salary reviews, compensation, and benefits packages.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Associate CIPD qualification (or part-qualified) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience at a senior HR level, ideally within an SME environment.
  • Proven HR generalist experience, capable of managing both strategic and operational aspects.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law in the UK.
  • Ability to work autonomously with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
